I have always been interested in shapes, colours and design – especially in connection with textiles that are a very fascinating material with a wealth of possibilities.
Thus, it was obvious for me to go to Como, Italy, to become a textile designer since Como is known both in the fashion and home furnishing industry for its many design companies.
After my return to Denmark in 1994 I have been focusing on designs for carpets, curtains and, since 2002 when I started at SÖDAHL’s, on home textiles.
I find the inspiration for my designs in nature and on inspiration travels abroad.
SÖDAHL’s textiles must, of course, have a special ”SÖDAHL touch”, but at the same time they must hold a variety of different styles. This is not least important today when many people alternate between different styles and perhaps like it both minimalistic and smartened up.
However, when choosing patterns and colours, I prefer a modern, yet timeless and classic design.
